The Natural Wedding Book has gone international – the Australian version, from the lovely Murdoch Books, is out now. With a very similar cover and the same gorgeous content and pictures in the chapters, it includes a specially targeted suppliers' section at the back. In the USA, the book is called The Natural Wedding and is published under Rizzoli USA’s Universe imprint. Out in hardback there, its cover shows our newlywed, Lisa, in rose satin and net 1950s-style Mad Men-inspired dress, with a posy of seasonal late-spring flowers. The suppliers’ section has loads of useful US wedding venues, dress specialists, caterers and more. The UK edition is published by Sawday's – available on their website and via Amazon.

| FRIDAY 5 NOVEMBER | THREADLESS ON PUBLISHERS WEEKLY posted by CLIVE |
|
Great interview with Jake Nickell on Publishers Weekly. This from the intro to the piece: “The [Threadless] book is stuffed with think pieces from a number of high-profile contributors like Seth Godin, and, of course, tons of t-shirt designs, some of which, such as John Slabyk’s “this was supposed to be the future,” have become iconic (Slabyk went on to art direct Barack Obama’s presidential campaign)... The result has “coffee table” written all over it..” The Threadless book has also been scoring other major league spots recently including Fast Company, Wired and Good. |

| TUESDAY 26 OCTOBER | REVIEW ON THE WOMEN'S ROOM posted by Caroline |
|
What a lovely review on influential blog The Women’s Room. Amanda there says The Natural Wedding Book “would make the perfect engagement present for anyone contemplating a home spun wedding, then you could borrow it back to crib some of the ideas for any party you might be planning of your own with a natural theme”. We’d certainly agree with that. At Harris + Wilson we've been supporting Alastair Sawday's promotions in conventional press – especially wedding magazines – by putting copies of the book into the hands of people who run some of the blogs and websites we love, and that are followed by the book’s audience. Our student intern Harriet has been doing great work on this – and thanks to Helen at Sawday’s for sorting out reader offers and giveaways. Also check out the review from Claire on LoveLula, and Annabel of Love My Dress’s Sunday Serving mention on 3 October – more coming soon! You can read author Louise Moon’s blog at www.thenaturalweddingbook.com and follow her on Twitter and Facebook. |
